It's great to travel down dirt or gravel roads; it opens up a sense of exploration, and makes me feel alive. This morning I was hoping for a glimpse of the herd of elk that had been hanging out on a friends law, but was disappointed by their absence. Instead I found a bit of fall color and the morning sun making it's way through mist and trees. Not quite what I hoped for, but a pretty nice morning all in all.
