Description
This is a photograph of a creek in Three Sisters Wilderness, OR, in Fall, taken from a low angle. This version was taken at a long exposure for a different water effect than The Creek No.1.
This day I was just exploring various forest roads. I drove in and found this creek. I just loved it, because it was bordered by large round rocks. Also the fall color was wonderful. Although it was just a short distance from the main road, it felt very isolated and wild, like no one had been there for some time.
I took some shots down by the water, but that was harder feat than I had planned. I had my camera gear, and the rocks were very slippery. I fell twice. Fortunately, I must sense when I'm going to fall, because it always seems to happen in a slow rolling motion. I took the bumps on my rear and my camera was unscathed. As for me, nothing was hurt but my pride, and of course it was an isolated area. Of course, had I been hurt, the isolation might have been a problem.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.
